Belmont Abbey Church, Hereford
Hook Mason was appointed by the Abbey Trustees to undertake a full condition survey in 2002. The Practice assisted with grant applications, resulting in a major Heritage Lottery Fund Award for repairs, alterations and extensions. The work being carried out in 2008/9 includes re-roofing and other high level repairs, provision of visitor toilet facilities and a new glazed entrance. The contemporary steel and glass design is a dramatic contrast to the elegant stone gothic church designed by Edward Welby Pugin.
