Plas Dinam, Powys
Plas Dinam suffered a devastating fire that destroyed much of the roof and extensively damaged the heart of this fine grade II* listed country house designed by the famous Architect, W E Nesfield. Hook Mason provided advice on temporary stabilisation, conservation of historic damaged features and moisture level monitoring over a period of two years. After the building was recorded and stabilised a careful programme of repairs and reconstruction was implemented. Historical data and early photographs were vital in the reconstruction of missing detail. Hook Mason provided a full architectural service for the whole project.
